QA Reef vs Autify
One of the few rivals that publishes real prices and agrees the artifact should be Playwright. Here is where we actually differ.

An open-core QA agent you deploy like a Vercel project: record or describe a flow, get a deterministic Playwright spec, run it on your hardware or ours, and get PASS, FAIL, or UNMEASURED back.
Autify Nexus and QA Reef agree on the important bit — the artifact should be Playwright code you own. The split is licensing and hosting: Autify is a closed SaaS with published prices; QA Reef is an open core you can run yourself, with no price yet.

Choose Autify if…
- You want a published price you can budget against today. Theirs is on the website; ours is not.
- You want Playwright-native low-code with a real free tier to try.
- You need native mobile as well as web.
- You want AI test design from requirements, which is upstream of what we do.
Choose QA Reef if…
- You want the core open, not just the output format.
- You need the whole loop, not just execution, inside your own network.
- You want a verdict that can be UNMEASURED and heals that wait for a human.
- You need screen reading for canvas or legacy UIs.
Where QA Reef falls short
They publish prices and we do not, they have four shipped products and a free tier, and they cover mobile. On availability today, Autify simply has more to sell you.
Sitewide caveats, on every page: QA Reef is pre-launch. No customers, no case studies, no published price, no SOC 2 report. Mobile (native app) testing is not supported. There is no managed human-QA service.

Is Autify Nexus really Playwright?
Their material states Nexus is built natively on Playwright and that the code is exportable. That is a genuine point in their favour, and the same reason QA Reef emits Playwright.
Why does QA Reef have no price?
Because there is nothing to charge for yet. Self-hosted, your cost is your own model calls, each logged with its cost, and $0 with the local-model backend.
Which one runs on my hardware?
Autify states on-premises execution options for Nexus. QA Reef runs entirely on your hardware, including recording, healing and evidence storage.
